Dear chess friends,

Persatuan Catur Sarawak is organising a chess championship for Sarawakians from 29 June - 1 July at Borneo Chess Academy, Jalan Song, Kuching. This competition beside giving away total cash prize of RM600 also subsidizes the top 4 winners to take part in the 2007 Malaysia Open Chess Championship which will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 20 - 26 Augurst 2007 (The subsidy amounts to Kuching/KL return tickets plus RM400 cash per person)
The fixture is as follows:

29 June (Friday) 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm
30 June (Saturday) 10:00 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm
1 July (Sunday) 10:00 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm

Time control is 1 hour play-to-finish

Interested players may enrol with me (016-8603180) or Morsin Ahmad (012-8949415) before 26 June 2007. Entrance fee is RM10 for PCS members and RM15 for non PCS members.
