Kuantan Masters Chess Open / Junior 2007 was held at SMK cenderawasih Kuantan on Sunday 5/8/07. It was an interesting event,as the total of 167 participants taking part in the event! The organiser would like to thank all participants, parents, and volunteers (including arbiters) that make this event a very successful.

Also a special thanks to all sponsors which are all supportive partents and friends that have long wish for a chess event in Kuantan to happen. Without them this is not a dream come true!

My apologies to all chess players that came all the way from Muadzam Shah, Rompin, also from Kuantan, that came in to register on the day, but can’t be accepted due to limited space.

And congratulations to all winners of the event, the Kuantan Masters Open Champion - Mohd Khair Bin Wahidduddin, U-20L Champ - Teh Jay Kie, U-20P champ - Izzat Atma Sari also crowned Best Junior Ladies, U-16L Champ which is also the best Junior player - Muhammad Khairilhelmi, U- 16P champ - Nor Aimi Shahida, U-12L champ Anis Nadzar, U-12P champ Effah Fazeera also won the the best girl u-12, U-9L champ Kuhan Ganesan and U-9P Nurhasya Mohd Fakri.
