Congratulations to all who Malaysians who participated.
Can you also make a count on how many juniors actually participated?
I am told that the tournament fees is quite high. Did we manage to help out these promising juniors and give them a chance to spar with top quality grandmasters?
We spent much money organising these tournaments, so I believe sponsoring some of these junior players should have been considered. No point bringing in all the GMs and IMs but in the end we didn’t make use of them to the maximum.
Again why in the world was the AmBank challenge organised? It should not have been held at the same time as this tournament. We have enough local tournaments. We should have just focused on getting our local players maximum exposure to the foreign GMs and IMs
