There is a new chess association in the Klang Valley. The newly formed Kuala Lumpur Chess Association or KLCA has started a membership drive amongst young players with MSSKL.

And to kick off a planned extensive calendar of events, KLCA has organised the launch at the KL International Book Fair at PWTC of ‘Start to Play Chess’, a series of books based on the ASEAN Chess Academy’s Scholastic Program. This even will be officiated by KLCA President Edmund Santhara at 1pm on Saturday 5 April with the match to be played from 2pm. On Sunday, KLCA will also organise the KL Rapid 15 for U-12s.
