RSC CHESS BLITZ OPEN TOURNAMENT

Venue: Royal Selangor Club, Dataran Merdeka (Card Room)

Date: Sunday, June 15, 2008

Time: 8.00 am to 9.00 am (final registration)

9.30 am to 12.00 pm (preliminary rounds)

1.00 pm to 3.30 pm (final rounds)

Time control; 5 mins chess

[International Blitz Rules apply]

Swiss Format: (total 22 games to be played) - lots of fun, win or lose…play again and again !

1) 10 preliminary games for pre-qualification

2) Top 50% of players advance to “Kings Corner” tournament, and bottom 50% advance to “Knights Corner” tournament

3) 12 final games to be played to decide prizes

Kings Corner

1^st Placing: RM 200 + RSC Blitz ChampionTrophy

2^nd Placing: RM 150

3^rd Placing RM 100

4^th –6^th RM 50 each

7^th –10^th RM 30 each

Knights Corner

1^st Placing RM 100

2^nd Placing RM 80

3^rd Placing RM 50

4^th-5^th RM 20

Entry Fees: RM 30

(Early bird discount RM 25 if fully paid before June 12)
