Sarawak Chess Association will be organising 2008 Sarawak chess Closed Championship at Borneo Chess Academy, Jalan Song, Kuching from 27-30 June 2008.. The championship is open to all Sarawakians and the top 4 players from this event will be sent by SCA to represent Sarawak in the Merdeka Team(Standard) Chess Championship which will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 29-31 august, 2008. There wil be a total cash prize of RM1,200/= with prizes 11th-15th reserved for youths 16 years and below. Entrance fee is RM20/= for SCA members, RM30/= for non-SCA members. Ladies and youths at half rate. The fixture is as follows
