Category: Category 1 (Nat rating 1400 & above), Category 2 (National Rating less than 1400)
No. of Rounds: 6 or 7 (if exceeds 70 pax per category)
Time control: 25 minutes per player
Prizes: Total prize fund worth RM 1,200
Reg fee for Cat 1: CAS Member>> RM 15, Others>> RM 25; Reg fee for Cat 2: CAS Member>> RM 10, Others>> RM 20;
Registration with payment: Before 9.00 AM, Round 1 at 9.30 am (Please take note that the starting time is Earlier than previous event).

The ASEAN Chess Academy is pleased to announce the 1st Club INTCHESS-National Schools Grand Prix 2007 which is expected to be an important forum for the development of young talent.
The 1st Club INTCHESS-National Schools Grand Prix will be in 3 categories - U-12, U-16 and Challengers (unrated players and those under FIDE 2000), with a minimum 8 legs nationawide followed by the final in Kuala Lumpur. ade at www.intchess.com where additional contacts would also be available. |

Two Malaysian's did well in Singapore. FM Lim Yee Weng and FM Anas did well in the Singapore Masters and Juniors respectively. The above list shows the Country top 10 active players. For complete list (incl. inactive players) click here. Tan Khai Boon had since been listed with 2138 rating points. Aaron Yee Keng Yew should be back on the rating list at 2225 with his participation in Singapore's National Inter-Club Team Championships 2006 (August 4~8). Aaron Yee, now a second-year Electronics and Electrical Engineering student of Nanyang Technological University did played also in the recent GACC & 13th ASEAN University Games. |

FM Peter Long became the first Malaysian to qualify for the title of FIDE Trainer in Singapore last week. Altogether 13 coaches from various countries attended the seminar and attempted to obtain the coveted FIDE certified titles. |
